The FPOC Series threaded straight through fittings are engineered for applications where installation space is at a premium, offering an cylindrical form factor that occupies less panel area compared to traditional PC-style fittings. This reduced envelope makes the series particularly suitable for precision equipment and compact machinery where every millimeter of clearance matters and conventional fitting dimensions would create layout challenges.
Tube insertion and removal have been streamlined to require no tools and minimal manual effort. When tubing is inserted, an internal gripping mechanism engages automatically to secure the connection instantly. Disassembly follows a similarly straightforward process, accomplished by pressing the locking sleeve inward while withdrawing the tube.
Sealing integrity is addressed through multiple measures. Threaded portions arrive with sealant pre-applied, eliminating the need for installers to wrap Teflon tape or apply liquid sealant during assembly, which reduces variability in installation quality and minimizes the risk of leaks stemming from inconsistent sealing practices. For M5 thread sizes specifically, a sealing gasket is provided as standard to further enhance leak prevention within the dimensional constraints of miniature fittings.
The body construction utilizes brass material with a nickel-plated finish. This combination provides resistance to corrosion and oxidation, contributing to consistent performance and extended service life even in environments where moisture or incidental chemical exposure may occur. The protective plating helps maintain the fitting's structural integrity and appearance over time.
Flow characteristics have been designed with attention to maintaining pneumatic efficiency. The internal passage diameter is matched to the inner diameter of the tubing, allowing air to move through the fitting without encountering abrupt changes in cross-section that could create pressure drops or turbulence. This uninterrupted flow path helps preserve system performance by delivering supply pressure to actuators with minimal loss.
