Detailed description
The FKSL Series elbow features a 90-degree bend rotation structure that combines an external thread with a quick-connect elbow fitting. The rotational design supports continuous 360-degree movement, helping to address the issue of tubing entanglement commonly encountered in right-angle dynamic piping applications where motion or articulation is present.
The quick-connect locking mechanism enables one-button insertion and removal of tubing. When the air tube is inserted, it locks automatically into place without the need for tools or manual fastening. For disconnection, pressing the release button allows for straightforward removal, simplifying installation, maintenance, and system reconfiguration.
Low torque rotation is achieved through the use of built-in ball bearings in combination with a specialized rotary seal. This construction helps reduce rotational resistance, making the joint suitable for applications involving high-frequency oscillation or continuous movement. The smooth rotation helps minimize mechanical stress on the tubing and adjacent components.
The external thread end is available in both metric and imperial thread sizes, including M5, M6, R1/8 inch, and R1/4 inch, providing compatibility with a variety of pneumatic ports. Thread sealant is included as standard on the threaded portion to help ensure a reliable seal without the need for additional sealing materials during installation.
An anti-twist mechanism is incorporated into the quick-connect end to help prevent tubing from twisting as the connector rotates. This feature is intended to maintain the integrity of the tube alignment during rotational movement, reducing the risk of kinking or stress that could affect airflow or connection stability over time.
A copper-free design is achieved through electroless nickel plating applied to both the body and the threaded sections. This finish helps prevent copper exposure, making the elbow suitable for environments where copper-free conditions are required, such as in electronics manufacturing or cleanroom applications. The plating also provides corrosion resistance and contributes to the overall durability of the component.
