The FKQ2H Series Reducing Straight-Connection Pipe is engineered to provide a reliable and efficient solution for connecting pneumatic tubing of varying outer diameters. As a differentiated straight connector, it is specifically designed to facilitate a smooth transition between tubes of different sizes, supporting a wide range of metric and imperial specifications to accommodate diverse system requirements.
For ease of operation, the connector features a quick-insertion and release mechanism that allows tubes to be inserted or removed with a single action. The design ensures low resistance during insertion and requires only minimal force for tube removal, helping to prevent damage to the tubing. To enhance usability in different environments, the release sleeve is available in both round and oval configurations.
Sealing performance is achieved through a specialized internal structure, making the connector suitable for applications ranging from vacuum conditions of -100kPa to positive pressures up to 1.0MPa (10 bar), with a pressure resistance capacity of up to 3MPa. This broad pressure range supports use in both standard pneumatic systems and more demanding installations.
The construction of the connector emphasizes compactness and light weight. The body is made from PBT combined with brass threads, resulting in a small footprint that fits easily into confined spaces. Additionally, the body is capable of rotation, offering greater flexibility during installation and adjustment without compromising the integrity of the connection.
Material compatibility is another key feature, as the connector is designed to work with a variety of tubing types, including nylon, PU, FEP, and PFA. The sealing component is made from NBR, supporting an operating temperature range of -5°C to 60°C, and up to 0°C to 40°C when used with water-based media.
A full range of thread specifications is available, including Rc, G, NPT, and UNF options. For applications where additional sealing assurance is required, versions with pre-applied sealant (S/AS) are offered, eliminating the need for Teflon tape during installation and contributing to a more streamlined assembly process.
