FAS Series Straight-Connection Type

Straight-through structure: Airflow passes through in a straight line, resulting in low pressure drop and high flow rate, making it suitable for circuits requiring rapid response.

One Touch Direct Connection: One end is a quick-connect fitting (φ3.2~φ12), and the other end is an external thread (M/Rc/G/NPT). It is plug-and-play and tool-free for SMC Europe installation and removal.

Rotary body: The valve body can rotate 360°, making pipeline alignment more flexible during installation (SMC Europe).

Exhaust throttling is the primary function: the standard is exhaust throttling (OUT), which controls the cylinder extension/retraction speed; there are also intake throttling (IN) models.

Needle valve anti-dislodgement mechanism: The adjusting needle valve has an anti-dislodgement design to prevent it from falling off due to excessive adjustment.

Push-lock type: The handwheel can be pushed and locked with one button to prevent flow drift caused by vibration.

    The FAS Series straight-connection type features a straight-through structure that allows airflow to pass along a direct path, minimizing pressure drop while supporting high flow rates. This design makes it especially suitable for circuits where rapid response is essential.

    For simplified installation, a one-touch direct connection is employed. One end uses a quick-connect fitting available in sizes ranging from φ3.2 to φ12, while the opposite end is fitted with an external thread compatible with M, Rc, G, and NPT standards. The plug-and-play nature of this configuration enables tool-free assembly and disassembly, aligning with SMC Europe requirements.

    Installation flexibility is further enhanced by a rotatable valve body, which can be turned 360 degrees. This feature simplifies pipeline alignment during setup, allowing for easier integration into existing layouts.

    In terms of functionality, the FAS Series is primarily configured for exhaust throttling as standard. This setup controls both extension and retraction speeds of cylinders, offering reliable performance in pneumatic circuits. Alternatively, intake throttling models are also available to accommodate different application needs.

    To improve operational reliability, the needle valve incorporates an anti-dislodgement mechanism that prevents unintended detachment even when the valve is adjusted beyond typical ranges. Additionally, a push-lock handwheel allows the setting to be secured with a simple press, preventing flow drift caused by vibration during operation.

    Overall, the FAS Series combines straightforward airflow design, versatile connection options, and robust locking features to deliver consistent, responsive control in a compact and user-friendly form.
